Play with Art at FIGMENT Boston this weekend!

FIGMENT Boston returns to the Rose Kennedy Greenway this weekend with a fun, free, family-friendly participatory art festival featuring art you can play with, dance performances, and music to inspire your creativity! Join us Saturday July 26 11am-11pm, and Sunday July 27 12pm-6pm for a weekend you will never forget! FIGMENT is completely free to the public and yet non-commercial, independently produced by volunteers and artists.

In addition to the daytime activities, check out FIGMENT After Dark in Dewey Square/South Station for music, dancing, video projections, and art projects designed for night, Saturday, 6-11p.m.

Now in it’s fifth year, FIGMENT Boston has brought hundreds of interactive art projects to downtown Boston, inspiring thousands of people to broaden their definition of art by breaking down the wall between spectator and artist and encouraging everyone to participate.

Founded in 2007 on New York City’s Governors Island with a handful of projects and a few thousand enthusiasts, FIGMENT has grown exponentially into a multi-day, multi-city event that drew over 35,000 participants in NYC, Boston, Detroit, Washington D.C., Pittsburgh, and Jackson, MS, in 2012. In 2013, FIGMENT continues to expand its mission to offer free, family-friendly and participatory art to entire communities. The event removes the barriers of museum and gallery walls and entrance fees, blurring the lines between those who create and those who enjoy art.
